Not sure exactly why I named this post Time on the Road, maybe because its been awhile since I wrote or time will tell what hold for the future I have, a bit of both it seems.
Well anyone who knows me well, knows the biggest transitions that are happening in my life right now and they have all been very supportive. Thank you everyone!! Life is more amazing because of sincere friends and family. Since I am now in Arizona job hunting, a lot has happen to report on!!!
Although this may be obvious to most, it was surprising to me - that AZ is hotter than Vegas. I thought it would have been the same. After a week in AZ I was forced to go clothes shopping at Kohls (oh bummer :o) lol to purchase some shorts ( i didn't realize i didn't have any!!!) and some more short sleeves shirts ( a few pairs do not make it through the week!!!) Also a month and a half after my Gall Bladder Surgery I realized that I had lost 10 pounds by watching what I eat!!!! I hope to continue this trend of course, but as of now I seemed to have plateaued, but I'm working on it as much as I can. As far of the list of foods I desired to eat, I have downed a few of them (slowly) minus the pizza ( I can not bring myself to eat all that greasy cheesey yuck!!). But mostly have stayed away from them because it still hurts my side.
So Post Gall Bladder Surgery - update. Well even immediately after the surgery I felt better (besides being all drugged up!!). It took about a week or 2 and color was coming back to my face- it was soo weird!!! I had been pale and in pain for months!!!! It was also wonderful to have my Mom there with me for a week !! and yes she did make some yummy cinanmin rolls for me!!!
Well I don't want to make it too long. Right now I am avidly searching for a job and dealing with other body pains ( just went to a gastroentrologist and had an ER visit a few weeks ago sadly) and I have had my uncle and aunts house to myself for a few days twice already (its been nice and thoughtful). I have been also having fun hanging out and visiting places in the area, so I'll try to post some pictures soon !!

UNDER THE KNIFE
Despite the fact that I have about a hundred things on my TO DO list today, I'm taking a break.....
Well there are less than 24 hours to go before I arrive to the hospital. I am really excited (which I've mentioned to just about everybody probably several times haha) but I'm just starting to get nervous about it. The funny thing is - I HATE hospitals!! They seriously scare me. Surrounded by so much death and illness, weird funky smells, people in odd conditions - lets just put it simply and just say its really not my forte. Even when my older brother Nathan was in the hospital, when his appendix burst (he seriously almost died-don't even get me started on stupid doctors)- I didn't want to go. I was quite a bit younger then (maybe 9/10ish), but I cried and said I'll wait til he gets home etc...I was soo NOT going. Well of course my parents made me go, and it was fine, but I was still terrified. I had to leave the room after a while because the pulse heart rate machine thingy was beeping and I started crying again. They still freak me out, even on TV. I know wimpy but thats just me I guess :o)
I've also had my little runs in with hospitals by having spent a back surgery(1 whole unexpected week) and then with my illness before that, I've been in and out periodically throughout my life. I'm very skeptical of doctors in general. I had one Surgeon claim that he couldn't tell the exact problem with my back in the current xrays, but he was more than willing to cut me open without the diagnosis and find out what was wrong! I walked out of that office and told Dad, that there was NO WAY that guy was coming near me with a knife - I was 18 then. Obviously I changed Surgeons, but there is another interesting story about that one as well -too long to put here.
My current Surgeon I'm pretty comfortable with. I hope it stays that way after the surgery. If all goes well (cross your fingers and say those prayers please!!!!) then I'll be out of the hospital within a few hours after the surgery. Lucky for me my wonderful Madre is flying out from VA to come be with me!!! I'm hoping she can make some yummy Cinnamon Rolls while she's here!!! Oh and speaking of food, here is my list of food I desire to consume sometime after my surgery:
Hope ya'll enjoyed!! Now I have to get back to homework (I have to finish all of this weeks by tonight - yikes) and then to pick my Madre up from the airport real soon!!

CROSS THAT OFF...
Well I've been thinking alot lately, especially after making that 25 uh 50 Things about me list, of things that I would really like to accomplish in my lifetime, but more specifically within the near future, say within 1 to 2 years. So i'm going to begin my list here:
----
I want to travel to a foreign country within a year or two, just to sightsee, spend money, and have fun. If not within that time frame, I will do this at some point in my life, but with my wonderfully created body (sarcasm) the sooner the better. So for my small auidence (not sure if there is one); if there is anyone who would like to accompany me in a future trip, lets begin picking a few places of interest :o)
I would like to learn a new talent within the next year or so, whether it be brushing up on tennis, or even sewing, but preferably an outdoor or able to do outside activity would be preferable.
I really want to create a nice photography portfolio. I have set it aside within the last 6 monts and just recently have been taking pictures again, and was reminded on much I love playing around with it.
I also want an increased participation / communication with my friends who are all over the place. I have been an awful one especially since I got married and feel bad because of it.
Also I am renewing my weight loss goal. At the end of 2007 I had lost 15lbs. At the begining of 2008 I lost another 10. My goal is just to lose 50 to 60 lbs, no timeline, just continue working at it til it happens. This goal will begin shortly after my surgery and therefore my recovery. I plan to go back to swimming and by keeping my current diet it should work really well together (except I shall periodically be able to have pizza, fries, and hamburger etc... lol)
-----
Anyways thats all I can come up with for now. Feel free to comment, suggest etc...

okay so i caved...I was totally against this....but after reading some, I became a bit more intrigued... now i wanted to try to come up with at least 25 things....and i went over :o) sorry i only tagged some people, i got lazy... :o)
1 - I have a slightly unhealthy disposition with chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip cookie dough, seriously lately I’ve been eating them at least every other day!
2 - As a kid I slammed the door on my little brother and cut his toe off. He had to go to the hospital to have it re-attached. I think I was like 4 and he still has the scar to prove it!
3 - I do not like scary movies, unless there is a nice cuddle buddy *wink.
4 - I like to train cats to do non cat like things. I trained my cat Samantha to take showers 1x/week and walk a leash down the street among other things.
5 - I will probably be getting a kitten soon!
6 - I am easily prone to being depressed.
7 - I am in constant high levels pain all the time, but most people don’t know or can’t tell.
8 - I wish I didn’t feel pain. And I get pissed when people don't believe me.
9 - I LOVE muscle relaxers for various reasons!
10 - I had an extremely rare disease when I was in Middle School and had my own personal tutor for almost the whole school year. If you want to know the name ask its really long. It was an autoimmune disease.
11 - I have scars on my legs from my disease.
12 - The disease I had kills half the people who get it and they don’t know how you get it or what to do with it once you get it. Trust me it was fun.
13 - I went without eating solid food for a whole month due to the aforementioned disease. The first thing I ate was a yucky rice chicken soup that my Grandma Hugo made me and then I ate nothing but chicken noodle soup for a long time.
14 - I now hate campbells chicken noodle soup.
15 - I have a secret love for acting, wish I could do it and admire those that can.
16 - I helped train my Golden Retriever Allie for the show ring.
17 - I am extremely terrified of the Ocean, but I swam competitively up until I was 16.
18 - My favorite color is purple, pink is a close 2nd although I hated pink growing up.
19 - I had lower back surgery the summer after my senior year of high school and after my best friend left for Germany in 2001.
20 - I am having Gall Bladder surgery on March 19 2009 and seriously can’t wait to be out of pain!

22 - I hate surgery even if it “fixes” problems.
23 - I am terrified of Hospitals. They really scare me alot - Ironic!?
24 - I want to be a professional photographer one day.
25 - I hope to write a book and get it published before I die.

39 - I just realized I went over 25 because I didn’t number anything.
40 - I just numbered this.... so THE END!

ANTICS OF LATE....
well been soo busy!! YES I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!! for those of you who don't know, I've been searching for 8 months with only 1 interview, its been really hard and frustrating for many reasons. Sadly it is only a seasonal / temporary job but its something and i'm happy with it. I'm a CSC (glorified recepetionist) at H&R Block. And it is perhaps one of the funest, coolest jobs lol. I get sporadic hours of 2/3 hours a day mostly except during the two, two week peaks- 2 weeks in Feburary and 2 weeks in April. During that time I work up to 6/7 hours a day. But it is a way fun job and I love the people I work with, so I feel luckily.
next. soo i'm now supposedly getting a kitten sometime in the near future. so hopefully i can finally get one.(big sale at petsmart this weekend for sooome reason) lol. my only requirement is a kitten and male, i'll let you all know...
well thats pretty much it. til next time!

In the begining.....
Well I was reading a few of my friends blogs and realized that mine needed help so here's an update!! This month has been great for the most part and definitely kept me busy! So I've set out in sight seeing and exploring of this Las Vegas city, outside the strip that is.
I have been vigilant on going out and discovering this month! I have found some very interesting places as a matter of fact, so of course I am sharing, just about every place has a fun story along with it!
So far I have visited: The Museum of Natural History, Old Mormon Fort, Ethel Chocolate Factory, Heritage Museum, and the Las Vegas Zoo. So here is one photo for each place!
Museum of Natural History: i only ended up with about 15 pictures because the camera batteries died.
Old Mormon Fort: I had a hard time picking a picture for this one cause there were so many good ones, but this one is one of my favorites with the light spot.
Ethel Chocolate Factory & Cactus Garden: Free. The shortest chocolate tour ever (it is a small hallway with windows to watch the chocolate making process, but the machines are hardly ever on. The cactus garden was hilarious!

Heritage Museum 2nd visit: I actually visited half of this museum last summer, so i decided to finish it off (@ $2 a ticket why not!?), it was very windy and loads of fun exploring the houses throughout LV history, and the railroad museum.

Las Vegas Zoo: This one i was excited about celebrating Janelle's Job (YEP)! But it came out to be a bit more interesting than i thought! Honestly I have never seen so many chickens in my life! This pictures just says it all!
Well hope everyone enjoyed! I love taking photos and most of all sharing them!! lol The great thing about visiting all these places was sometimes just price, everything was in the range of $2 to $8 !!

PICKY EATER
so this post is probably expected to be a update on how my surgery and all went, and how i'm feeling......well NOT SO MUCH..... i ended up canceling my surgery for the time being. why? well i wasn't able to get a hold of the list of medications that i am allergic too from my previous back surgery, there is about 20 or so. so i decided to be on the safe side and wait til they are forwarded. so as a result i'm still being careful with my portions and food in general. i have finally figured out which foods are painful for the gall bladder and which ones i can withstand. i have gotten it down to eating one big meal a day with low fat/low oil options - and then eating applesauce and crackers either for breakfast/lunch or snacks. this gives me lots more energy during the day! i cant believe what difference it truly makes!
just wanted to let everyone know. i haven't rescheduled my surgery yet, but i'm planning on janurary or feburary depending on when i get my allergy list. i'll post another more holiday post soon :o)

i'm CUT UP!

So today's post in to let everyone know i'm having SURGERY. Yep. surgery. This will the 3rd surgery of my life (back, wisdom teeth, now this). I'm going to have my Gall Bladder removed on DECEMBER 15TH 2008. we did a bunch of test the last few month to determine what the pain in my right side was. at first we thought it was my liver. But after an ultrasound (which was so painful cause she was pushing on it the whole time!!) the doctor said it was for sure my gall bladder. I don't have gall stones, but i do have what they call SLUDGE, yes that is the techincal term - no joke! lol after that we did a HIDA or Biliary Scan to see how my body digest, this was done with some radio active juice that was iv into me, i had to be perfectally still for an hour on a hard cold table. then they made me lay there some more after giving me something to make the gall bladder contract which makes you feel like you wanna throw up! i laid there for another 30 minutes. by the time i got out i was soo hungry because you can't eat for 4 hours b4 the test and after waiting and then the test it had been like 8 hours! so the end result of that scan was that we found out my gall bladder only contracts at 10.5% out of 100%. pretty low lol the doctor and then later my surgeon pretty much said i have no choice and it needs to come out, and sooner than later, since it is inflammed.
so thats what i have been dealing with lately, accepting it and dealing with it. at first i was a bit upset, not majorly, but mostly just scared and then mad that i have to have a surgery. its not that major and can be done with small incisions if all goes well, but i'm not really worried about the scars, i have a huge one on my back from my back surgery and i think other people look weird without scars on their back lol but its still a bit scarey. today i did research on the hospitals and picked one which helped me feel better. but anyways just wanted to let everyone know.
